Super Girl Surf Festival 2026 Doctoring
Dr. Schultzel along with Sharp Healthcare supported the Super Girl Surf Festival this year as a team physician, offering medical care for athletes competing in the surfing, sand soccer, volleyball, and half pipe competitions. He also sat on a panel focusing on Training Like a Pro and participated in a live webcast during competition.

ASES Dr. Mark Frankle Health Policy Award
Dr. Schultzel was awarded the prestigious American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) Dr. Mark Frankle Health Policy Award for the 2025 year. This award took Dr. Schultzel to Washington DC and the halls of Congress, meeting with our elected officials and fellow orthopaedic surgeons from the AAOS, and working on health policies to improve the lives of our patients.
His focus for the year is on eliminating prior authorizations from insurances and increasing access to care, especially for our seniors and rural patients.
